Well, we fly out in 30 hours. I’m all packed and and have to move on base tomorrow, so my net access will be greatly reduced. I’m just sitting here taking stock of my life. I’m not trying to be melodramatic. Many people are forced to do this due to an unexpected event in their life (the death of a loved one, the b…irth of a child, a near death experience, etc). I did this before my first deployment, and did it again the night before I went skydiving. I think everyone needs to do this at some point in their life. It’s just a quiet time to take inventory, reminisce, and smile.

I’m in a very good place and I look forward to serving alongside America’s finest for the next six months. I just wanted everyone to know that I’m thinking of you and look forward to partying it up when I get home. I’ll be in touch once I’m boots on the ground in the AOR.
